Savitri is one of the characters in "The Story of Princess Savitri". As Princess Savitri grew older, she became more and more beautiful that no suitors came to seek her hand in marriage because they were all overwhelmed by her radiance.

So, King Aswapati, Princess Savitris father, told the princess to find a husband for herself.

Princess Savitri chose Satvayan.
